A small solitaire set with marble balls. This traditional board game is made from a single piece of Thuya wood turned to perfection with shallow indents to hold the marble balls. Balls taken during play can be kept in the groove which runs around the edge of the board. 17cm dia (Morocco)

These popular hosho maraccas are from Zimbabwe with three hosho seed pods on a stick, they make a very effective sound. Measures:24cm.

An interesting ceramic drum originally from India. As well as beating the skin of the drum air is trapped inside the pot by covering the opening. Which produces an interesting bass sounding "thud".30cm x 24cm

18cm x 10cm. These are really ethnic ones, straight from Zimbabwe. On a flat carved piece of wood, improvised from local materials, this has a really African feel to it.
